Skiing in the Alpbach Valley is a varied Winter sports experience in the mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps. From the beginning of December until April 21 lifts bring up to 21.000 skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts up into the skiing areas and 54 prime slopes await Winter sports lovers of all ability levels.
The Alpbachtal skiing area is known for its varied range of skiing slopes. As well as 3 great valley runs the skiing area is also home to choice free ride possibilities towards Inneralpbach. Standing at the Hornlift 2000 (the highest point of the skiing area) take in the amazing vistas over the Alpbach Valley peaks, the Rofan Range and the Ziller Valley.
Ideal conditions for families can be found in Inneralpbach, in Reith i.A. and next to the Hornboden. Magic carpets, special children’s lifts and more provide for easy access.
The 4 km long "Family run” to Inneralpbach is classed as medium degree difficulty and is not only the longest but also the most attractive run in the Alpbachtal skiing area. The run starts at the Pöglbahn top station via route number 8 and continues on a gorgeous wide run through woods down to the valley and Inneralpbach. The uniform gradient is ideal for both relaxing turns and for improving carving skills. Those wanting to fit in one last run for the day should take the 8-seater gondola, the Pöglbahn to the middle station and enjoy one of the most beautiful slopes in the skiing area - the Galtenberg slope in Inneralpbach. A grand finale to a great days skiing!
