Charming Lakes .....
Just a few minutes from Kramsach village centre the landscape changes. A long, long time ago glaciers shaped small round hills that almost resemble green eggheads. Between these humps water has remained to this day and forms the "Reintaler Seenplatte" (Lake Plateau). It comprises five lakes, on which you will find neither sailing nor motorized boats – swimming and rowing is the call of the day! The particularity of the area is that Tyrol’s warmest bathing lakes lie in this sun kissed spot and thus the lakes are gently heated. How about a dip in the cool - warm water.
REINTALERSEE, Kramsach
Lake Reintal is the largest of the Kramsach Lakes and together with the Krummsee (Lake Krumm) is considered one of the Tyrol’s warmest bathing lakes with temperatures around 25°C. There are well cared for sun lawns, restaurants, buffets, a children’s playground, boot rental and camping sites on site. A well maintained walking path leads around the lake (approx. 1 hour).KRUMMSEE, Kramsach
Put an end to the fairy tale that all mountain lakes in the Tyrol are ice-cold. Lake Krumm is one of the warmest lakes in the Tyrol. Closed this Summer 2011!
REITHER SEE, Reith i.A.
Reith’s „Emerald Eye“, as the lake in Reith is often called, is situated in the village centre and is the ideal place to go for a cool off after mountain bike tours, hikes or walks. A large sun lawn, children’s play area, paddling pond, fishing possibilities, diving board, changing cubicles, buffet and much more can be found at the lake.
BERGLSTEINERSEE, Breitenbach
A secret tip for anyone in search of tranquility is the idyllic Lake Berglstein – hidden between Kramsach and Breitenbach. A cosy inn with beautiful Summer terrace offers culinary delights on the lakes shore. A fee is taken on fine weather days.
Tip: Tyrol’s „Erster Leichter Lernen Weg“ (easy learning path) with special boards showing exercises to aid learning and concentration runs around this lake. This is t h e place to replenish body, mind and soul.
